Help Decorate the Fiber Lab Holiday Tree
The Fiber Lab is sponsoring a holiday tree that is part of Wakanda Wonderland, a holiday festival hosted by the Dunn County Historical Society. Sponsors are responsible for decorating a tree in any way that they wish. This is where you come in!
Because we have a fantastic community of quilters, knitters, crocheters, and other fiber and textile enthusiasts, I thought this would be a perfect opportunity to let your creativity shine. I am asking each of you to create an ornament (or multiple ornaments) to decorate the Fiber Lab tree. It will make for a truly beautiful exhibit, showcasing the talent in our community, as well as the vibrancy of textile and fiber crafts.
The Details
What kind of ornament can I create?
You can create any sort of ornament for the Fiber Lab tree as long as it is made from fabric or yarn and is appropriate for people of all ages. The ornaments can be simple or elaborate. That part is entirely up to you. Ideally, I would like to see you use fabric and/or yarn purchased from the Fiber Lab, but it is not required.
A list of ideas can be found below if you're not sure what to do.
How many ornaments can I donate?
You can donate as many ornaments as you would like.
Where do I drop off my ornaments?
Drop them off at the Fiber Lab by Sunday, December 1, 2024. Pay attention to the time. The shop closes at 3:00pm on Sundays. We'll take care of decorating the tree at the Rassbach Museum.
Can I get my ornament back?
Yes! If you would like your ornament back, simply let Kris or Brinna know when you drop it off. Make sure that you have included a tag with your name and contact information. We can help you with adding the tag if needed. Once the Wakanda Wonderland tree display is done, the Fiber Lab will reach out to you, letting you know your ornament is ready to pick up.
