Knitted Socks!
Socks can be intimidating for the new knitter (and even some experienced knitters), but they are not as hard as they look. Socks are very portable projects and they make great gifts! And best of all, handknit socks are some of the comfiest socks you'll ever wear! This class meets three times.
Skills you will learn in this class:
- Working in the round with double point needles
- Heel shaping
- Kitchener stitch
Supplies Needed:
- Basic Ribbed Socks pattern by Kate Atherley. Pattern available for free on Ravelry.com
- Fingering weight yarn (370 yards)
- US 1.5/2.5mm double point needles (or size to obtain gauge)
- Tapestry needle
- Stitch markers
- Scissors
Register early. Classes with fewer than 2 registrations, 72 hours (3 days) prior to the start of class will be canceled. Students will be notified if a class is cancelled, and the registration fee will be refunded.

Instructor Bio: | Kris has been knitting since she was 8 years old. Not satisfied with the potholders that her local 4-H club limited her to, she dove into mittens. She believes that knitting is about the process, which teaches patience. |
