Zip-Top Tote

The Harper Holdall by Lazy Girl Designs is the perfect tote bag to hold all of your goodies. In this class you'll learn bag-making techniques, including how to add a zipper — a valuable skill that can be applied to all sorts of other projects.
If you’ve made a project or two, can rotary cut, and thread a sewing machine, you are ready for this project.
This class has three 2 hour sessions.

Materials Needed:
- Harper Holdall pattern
- 5/8 yard fabric for outside of bag
- 5/8 yard fabric for lining
- 3/4 yard fabric for handles, inside pocket, zipper pull ties, and bag base
- 3 yards lightweight interfacing (20" wide), such as Pellon SF101
- 1-1/2 yards of Stiff Stuff OR 3/4 yard fusible fleece
- 30" double pull purse zipper, size 4.5mm
Additional Supplies:
- Erasable marking pen
- Ruler
- Cutting Mat
- Rotary Cutter
- Matching Thread
- Scissors
- Pins or sewing clips
Note: You must bring your own sewing machine.
Stop in early to choose your fabrics and get and any other supplies you may need. The Fiber Lab offers a 10% discount on class supplies.
Register early. Classes with fewer than 3 registrations, 72 hours (3 days) prior to the start of class will be canceled. Students will be notified if a class is cancelled, and the registration fee will be refunded.
