Emotional Support Chicken
The Emotional Support Chicken, created by The Knitting Tree in Los Angeles, California is huggable, fun to create, and will just make you smile. Patterns are available for knitting or crochet, so you can create the Emotional Support Chicken using whichever method you prefer.
The class consists of three 2-hour sessions.

- 100 yds second color (stripes)
- US 7/4.5mm knitting needles (fabric should be stiff enough so stuffing doesn’t come out)
- Removable stitch markers
- Tapestry needle
- Scissors
- (Optional) 5mm crochet hook

- One pair of 15mm safety eyes
- Yarn for beak, comb, and wattle
- Polyfil stuffing
Stop in early to choose your yarn and any other supplies you need. The Fiber Lab offers a 10% discount on class supplies.
Register early. Classes with fewer than 2 registrations, 72 hours (3 days) prior to the start of class will be canceled. Students will be notified if a class is cancelled, and the registration fee will be refunded.

| Instructor Bio: | Kris has been knitting since she was 8 years old. Not satisfied with the potholders that her local 4-H club limited her to, she dove into mittens. She believes that knitting is about the process, which teaches patience. Lily is an all-around fiber and textile crafty person. She crochets, knits, sews, quilts, needle felts, and more! Lily is heading into her third year at UW-Stout as an Art Education major. |
