Crochet 102: Granny Square Bag
If you've dabbled in crochet and know the basics, take your skills to the next level! You will learn how to make granny squares and how to join different pieces together all while making a fantastic bag. You'll also get a chance to practice your single and double crochet skills. The bag pattern included with registration fee and will be handed out during the first class session.
The class consists of three 2-hour sessions.
Children 9+ may enroll with an accompanying adult.
Skills you will learn in this class:
- Reading a pattern
- Granny squares
- Joining pieces
- Working in the round
Supplies Needed:
- 2 skeins of yarn (DK or Worsted weight). Yarn weight will affect the final size of the bag.
- One skein each of two different colors, or
- Two skeins of the same color
- 3.75mm or 4mm crochet hook (Select your hook after you've determined your yarn)
- Tapestry needle
- Scissors
Stop in early to choose your yarn and any other supplies you need. The Fiber Lab offers a 10% discount on class supplies.
Register early. Classes with fewer than 3 registrations, 72 hours (3 days) prior to the start of class will be canceled. Students will be notified if a class is cancelled, and the registration fee will be refunded.
