Finishing Your Quilt with Machine Quilting
Do you have a quilt top or table runner that you need to finish, but are not sure of the next steps? You will learn different methods for putting your quilt together, as well as some simple ways to quilt your project using your own sewing machine. Methods of binding will also be covered.
This class meets once.
What You Will Learn
- Methods to put quilt top, batting and backing together including tying, pinning and spray basting.
- A variety of quilting designs
- Two methods for binding your quilt
Supplies Needed
- Two 18 x 18” pieces of scrap fabric
- One 18” x 18” batting
- One 2-1/2” x width of fabric (WOF) strip of fabric
- Walking foot and darning foot
- Basic sewing supplies, such as clips, pins, measuring tape, rulers, etc.
- (Optional) Finished quilt top for quilting ideas.
Note: You must bring your own sewing machine.
Stop in early to choose your fabrics and get and any other supplies you may need. The Fiber Lab offers a 10% discount on class supplies.
Register early. Classes with fewer than 3 registrations, 72 hours (3 days) prior to the start of class will be canceled. Students will be notified if a class is cancelled, and the registration fee will be refunded.
