Knitted Cables
Cables consist of interlocking twists and turns that add great visual texture to your knitting projects and they're not as difficult as they look. Choose from a hat, cowl, or mittens — or do all three! These items are perfect for cooler weather. Make one for yourself, and once you've mastered the techniques, create handmade gifts for your friends and family.

Supplies Needed for All Projects:
- Greenway Collection pattern, available via Ravelry.
- Cable needle
- Scissors
- Scrap yarn
- Tapestry needle
- Stitch markers
Supplies Needed (Hat):
Sizes: Toddler - Adult Large (16" - 24" circumference)
- 153 - 235 yards of worsted weight yarn
- US 4/3.5mm 16” circular needle (ribbing)
- US 6/4mm 16" circular needle (main body)
- (Optional) US 6/4mm double pointed needles
Supplies Needed (Cowl):
Sizes: Small/Large (16.25" - 21.75" circumference)
- 145 - 195 yards of worsted weight yarn
- US 4/3.5mm 16” circular needle (ribbing)
- US 6/4mm 16" circular needle (main body)
Supplies Needed (Mittens):
Sizes: Small - XL (6.25" - 9.5" hand circumference)
- 128 - 195 yards of worsted weight yarn
- US 3/3.25mm double pointed needles or circular needle if choose to do magic loop (ribbing)
- US 6/4mm 16" double pointed needles or circular needle if choose to do magic loop (main body)
Stop in early to choose your yarn and any other supplies you need. The Fiber Lab offers a 10% discount on class supplies.
Register early. Classes with fewer than 2 registrations, 72 hours (3 days) prior to the start of class will be canceled. Students will be notified if a class is cancelled, and the registration fee will be refunded.

Instructor Bio: | Kris has been knitting since she was 8 years old. Not satisfied with the potholders that her local 4-H club limited her to, she dove into mittens. She believes that knitting is about the process, which teaches patience. |
