Doodle Colorwork Project

Doodle Decks and the Doodle Knit Directory are modular, mix-and-match color work motifs. You may choose to do the cowl that is included in each Doodle Deck, or select one of the many patterns found in the Doodle Knit Directory book. Then decide on your motifs, yarns, and colors to create a unique colorwork project.

Skills you will learn in this class:

• Design your own pattern using various motifs
• Select colors for a colorwork project

Supplies to Bring to Class:

• Scissors
• Tapestry needle
• Stitch markers

Supplies Needed:

We will be deciding on the Doodle Card Deck or Doodle Knit Directory book and yarn colors in the first class session. Do not buy your yarn ahead of time. If you have yarns in the appropriate weight at home, bring them and we can combine them with additional colors as we work through the design. The Fiber Lab will supply graph paper and colored pencils for the design process.

• A readiness to play with colors
• Your choice of Doodle Card Deck or Doodle Knit Directory book
• Approximately 50 - 100 yards of 4 - 6 colors of yarn — DK or fingering are ideal. Sun Valley Fibers minis are a great option!
• Circular or double point needles to meet gauge.

The Fiber Lab offers a 10% discount on class supplies.

Register early. Classes with fewer than 2 registrations, 72 hours (3 days) prior to the start of class will be canceled. Students will be notified if a class is cancelled, and the registration fee will be refunded.
