Intro to Amigurumi: Balloon Dog
Amigurumi, pronounced am-ig-uh-ROO-mee, is the art of creating small, stuffed crocheted toys. You've probably seen them, now learn to make them! We'll introduce you to amigurumi with this beginner-friendly balloon dog. Not only is it cute, it won't pop, like an actual balloon dog!
The class consists of two 2 hour sessions.
Skill Level: Confident Beginner/Intermediate
Skills you will learn in this class:
- Increase
- Decrease
- Working in the round
- Reading a pattern
- (Optional) Magic Circle
Supplies Needed:
- The pattern is available for FREE on Ravelry
- Worsted weight yarn (Approximately 400 yards)
- Size H (5mm) crochet hook or size to meet gauge. Stitches will need to be tight, so you might need to go down a size.
- Tapestry needle
- Stitch marker
- Scissors
The Fiber Lab will provide the polyester fiberfill stuffing.
Stop in early to choose your yarn and any other supplies you need. The Fiber Lab offers a 10% discount on class supplies.
Register early. Classes with fewer than 2 registrations, 72 hours (3 days) prior to the start of class will be canceled. Students will be notified if a class is cancelled, and the registration fee will be refunded.
