Tinking, Frogging, & Other Misadventures in Knitting
You know how to knit, but do you know how to fix those pesky mistakes? You'll learn how to recognize some of the most common mistakes and learn ways to fix them. We will look at dropped stitches, twisted stitches, extra stitches, loops or holes caused by accidental yarnovers, and address other questions.
The class consists of one 2 hour session.
Skills you will learn in this class:
- How to understand your knitting
- Recognize common mistakes (e.g., dropped stitches, holes, twisted stitches)
- Repair dropped stitches, holes, and more
Supplies Needed:
- 4 swatch samples approximately 4 - 5" square. They can be knit in any yarn weight. Do NOT bind them off. You can leave them on needles or put the live stitches on a stitch holder or scrap yarn
- Tapestry needle
- Crochet hook or stitch fix tool
- Stitch marker
- Tape measure
- Scissors
Stop in early to get any supplies you need. The Fiber Lab offers a 10% discount on class supplies.
Register early. Classes with fewer than 2 registrations, 72 hours (3 days) prior to the start of class will be canceled. Students will be notified if a class is cancelled, and the registration fee will be refunded.
