Jethro Cardigan Stitch Along

Join the Fiber Lab for a knit ... um crochet ... um Stitch along (SAL) that will stretch your knitting and crochet skills. We will be working on the Jethro cardigan that beautifully combines crochet granny squares with knitted sleeves, ribbing, and button band. Remember, this is your sweater! If you want to crochet the sleeves, do so! If you want to change up the granny squares, do it! And the color options are endless!

Notes on Sizing from the Designer

The sizes given are the actual finished full chest measurement of the garment. The designer recommends choosing a size that has 12-17” (30-43 cm) of ease. In other words, the finished size is that much bigger than your actually measured chest size. Remember, this is your sweater, if you don't want that much ease, choose a smaller size.

Yarn Requirements

DK weight yarn.

• For granny squares: 675 (820, 980, 1480, 1520, 1650) yds
• Main color for sleeves and ribbing: 250 (300, 360, 410, 460, 500) yds of MC for the sleeves and ribbing.

About the SAL

This is not a class, instead, it's an opportunity for us all to stitch together, learn from one another, and enjoy some good company. Go at your own pace — fast or slow — it isn't a race. That being said, the first session, we will focus on creating the granny square to make sure everyone gets started on a positive note. I will be available to answer questions along the way, but there will not be specific instructions like you would find in a traditional class.

We will meet at the Fiber Lab every week for three hours. Join us as often as you are able. The SAL is FREE, however you still need to register so I know how many people will be participating.

Stop in early to choose your yarn and any other supplies you need. The Fiber Lab offers a 10% discount on class supplies.

Note on Yarn: If there is a color (or colors) you would like in one of the yarn brands I carry, work with me as early as possible and I will do my best to get the color and quantity you desire.

Register early. Classes with fewer than 2 registrations, 72 hours (3 days) prior to the start of class will be canceled. Students will be notified if a class is cancelled, and the registration fee will be refunded.
