Quilting for Kids: Minecraft Wall Hanging

Introduce your kids or grandkids to the wonderful art of quilting! In this 2-session class we will make a quilted Minecraft-themed wall hanging. 

Finished size: 24" x 24"

For those who don't know what Minecraft is, it's a popular, open-world adventure game. The animation is done in a blocky, pixellated style — making it perfect for quilting! 

This class is open to kids and teenagers from 7 - 16. They should have a basic understanding of sewing, including threading a sewing machine, winding, a bobbin, and sewing straight lines.

This is a 2-session workshop style class. We will meet twice for 4 hours each session. Light snacks will be provided. 

Class Fee Includes:

• Pre-cut kit for the chosen Minecraft character (see options below). Kit includes batting and backing. Indicate which Minecraft character you would like to make in the 'Attendee' field, along with the student's name when registering for the class.

Additional Supplies:

• Matching Thread
• Scissors
• Pins or sewing clips

Note: Student must bring sewing machine.

The Fiber Lab offers a 10% discount on any additional class supplies you may need.

Register early. Classes with fewer than 3 registrations, 72 hours (3 days) prior to the start of class will be canceled. Students will be notified if a class is cancelled, and the registration fee will be refunded.
