Artus Shawl Knit Along

Artus is not a delicate, sheer layering piece; instead, it's a substantial wrap with a distinct presence. It stands out and adds character to any outfit while keeping you warm and cozy. It's both eye-catching and functional, a true statement piece.
Designer Natasja Hornby created what she calls the Artus her ‘Grand Mosaic’ shawl. It is a striking blend of colors and patterning. Artus is a rich tapestry of texture and color. The mosaic border is easy to work, allowing for creative color combinations that consistently produce fantastic results.
Artus Details
Artus is a triangular shawl that is worked top-down from the center out, starting with a classic Garter Tab Cast On. The shawl features narrow bands of 1x1 color created by using the stranded technique. The eye-catching border of the shawl is worked using the mosaic technique, holding only one strand of yarn on every row.
The pattern is available on Ravelry for $8.00.
Approximate finished dimensions:
- Wingspan approximately 69 inches / 175cm
- Depth approximately 27.5 inches / 70cm
Yarn Requirements
A sport weight yarn is recommended. Due to the floats produced by the mosaic technique it’s advisable to choose a non-superwash yarn with a high wool content.
Recommend Lichen and Lace Rustic Heather Sport (available in January). We will have kits in multiple colorways available in January as well.

About the KAL
This is not a class, instead, it's an opportunity for us all to knit together, learn from one another, and enjoy some good company. Go at your own pace — fast or slow — it isn't a race. I will be available to answer questions along the way, but there will not be specific instructions like you would find in a traditional class.
We will meet at the Fiber Lab every week for two hours. Join us as often as you are able. The KAL is FREE, however you still need to register so I know how many people will be participating.
If you're interested in joining us virtually, reach out to me and we can set something up.

Register early. Classes with fewer than 2 registrations, 72 hours (3 days) prior to the start of class will be canceled. Students will be notified if a class is cancelled, and the registration fee will be refunded.
