Fitted Sewing Machine Cover
Doesn’t your trusty machine deserve a brand new outfit?! A cover keeps your machine protected from dust and sun exposure when not in use. This cover also includes pockets to store some of your regularly used tools and uses pretty decorative stitch accents. A custom-sewn sewing machine cover in gorgeous fabric can provide some additional flair to your sewing studio or craft room.
Finished cover dimensions: 20″ wide x 13″ high x 8″-10″ deep
This class has three 2-hour sessions.
Materials Needed:
- Decorative Sewing Machine Cover pattern (free online pattern)
- 2 yards fabric for main front panel, lining, and binding
- 3/4 yard fabric for front and side accents and two pocket exteriors
- 1/2 yard fabric for side exterior and one pocket exterior
- 1 yard package of Soft and Stable
- 1/2 yard Pellon Decor Bond
- 3 yards of 1/2" piping
- 3/4 yard 1" or 1-1/2" webbing
- (Optional) ten to twelve 3/4" - 1" buttons for decorating outside of cover
Additional Supplies:
- Erasable marking pen
- Ruler
- Rotary Cutter
- Matching Thread
- Scissors
- Pins or sewing clips
- Basting spray
Note: You must bring your own sewing machine.
Stop in early to choose your fabrics and get and any other supplies you may need. The Fiber Lab offers a 10% discount on class supplies.
Register early. Classes with fewer than 3 registrations, 72 hours (3 days) prior to the start of class will be canceled. Students will be notified if a class is cancelled, and the registration fee will be refunded.
