Cloud Catcher Cowl
Cloud Catcher is for anyone who has ever flopped flat on their back in the grass and stared up at passing clouds. The cowl combines lace, slipped stitches, and bobbles to evoke the pillowy slopes and light wisps of clouds.
Worked seamlessly from the top down, this cowl knits up quickly (like any good cowl should), but wears like a hassle-free shawl. Unlike traditional tube cowls that rumple into a pile of knitting around your neck, this shawl-shaped construction lets your knitting shine by creating a triangular front and shortened back. The shape is wonderful, wearable, and just plain fun to knit.
Supplies Needed:
- Cloud Catcher Cowl pattern, available for purchase in the shop or via Ravelry.
- 350 yards of Sport or DK weight yarn
- We suggest the sumptuously soft Sonnet from Plymouth Yarns
- US 5 (3.75mm) 24" circular needle (or size to obtain gauge)
- Scissors
- Tapestry needle
- Stitch markers
Stop in early to choose your yarn and any other supplies you need. The Fiber Lab offers a 15% discount on class supplies.
Register early. Classes with fewer than 2 registrations, 72 hours (3 days) prior to the start of class will be canceled. Students will be notified if a class is cancelled, and the registration fee will be refunded.
