Silly Goose

Everybody needs a silly goose (or more) in their life and these geese have such personality. You will be guided through each step of making your very own Silly Goose. You can make either a 20" or 16" goose.

Materials Needed:

• Silly Goose pattern from Woolly Petals on Etsy. This is a PDF download.
• Fabric for 20" Goose:
  • 3/4 yd for body (can also use scraps, charms, or layer cakes, and make her patchwork)
  • 1/4 yd of 1 or 2 colors for wings. (I use 2 colors, one for top and one for underside of wings)
  • 1/4 yd for beak and feet
• Fabric for 16" Goose:
  • 2/3 yd for body (can also use scraps, charms, or layer cakes, and make her patchwork)
  • 1/4 yd of 1 or 2 colors for wings (I use 2 colors, one for top and one for underside of wings)
  • 1/4 yd for beak and feet
• Approximately 10" x 20" piece of batting for wings
• 1/4 yd SF-101 or Decor Bond for beak
• Small piece of SF-101 for support behind eyes
• Eyes can be made from buttons, felt, embroidery floss, or safety eyes. Safety eyes available at shop.

Fiber Lab Will Provide:

• Polyfil Stuffing
• (Optional) Wire to provide support for neck

Additional Supplies:

• Ruler
• Cutting Mat
• Rotary Cutter
• Matching Thread
• Scissors
• Pins or sewing clips

Note: You must bring your own sewing machine.

Stop in early to choose your fabrics and get and any other supplies you may need. The Fiber Lab offers a 15% discount on class supplies.

Register early. Classes with fewer than 3 registrations, 72 hours (3 days) prior to the start of class will be canceled. Students will be notified if a class is cancelled, and the registration fee will be refunded.
